Artist Biography

Noël Hochuli (*1990) is a Swiss-based artist with a background in construction and art fabrication. He holds a BA in Object Design from HSLU Lucerne and worked for over nine years at the Kunstgiesserei St. Gallen. In 2025, he completed an MFA in Fine Arts at ZHdK. //

His practice explores places, habitats, and the systems that shape them. Through traces, materials, and observation, he creates site-specific installations that combine research with sculptural and process-oriented approaches. His work examines ecological, social, and material interactions. //

By shifting perspective toward other life forms, his work questions human agency. Many installations investigate spatial permeability and dissolution, using transparency, loosely arranged materials, and found objects. Painting, photography, and literature are often integrated. //
